Pleasant Hill Meet | August 11-12, 2012

Enthusiasm one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Congratulations, Rossi team, for a job well done!
Check out photos of these enthusiastic swimmers taken by Mr. Chen (William) this past weekend. Thank you, William, for another album of great shots.

School year is upon us and wishing all our Rossi swimmers a great school start. And apply the enthusiasm and hard work you learned all summer long. And we'll see everyone on Labor Day weekend's Morgan Hill meet.

Saying Good-bye to Francisco & Family | July 27, 2012

Goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean I'll miss you
Until we meet again! ~Author Unknown
Words aren't enough to say, "We'll miss Francisco." He's been a big part of Rossi team for more than 3 years. He's an all-around team player. His great attitude is infectious. You can't help but like the guy. Last Friday, the team bade him goodbye with a surprise going-away party. And one cannot deny the warmth felt amongst each other in the midst of a cold, foggy afternoon in the park. It was bittersweet. We hope to see him again, and soon. Back here in SF or in Guadalajara. Buen Viaje! We'll be thinking of you!

Here are more PHOTOS by Mr. Wong (Gary).
We also want to acknowledge Henri Houdre as it was his last day that same day. He is going to school in France for a whole year. We shall miss him, as well. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it to this day. Good luck to both and their families.

On His Way To NACC

The highest reward for a man's toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes by it. ~John Ruskin

The NACC (North American Challenge Cup) is comprised of Pacific Swimming, Pacific Northwest Swimming, Swimming Canada, Southern California Swimming and Mexican Swimming Federation.

Our swimmers from Pacific Swimming are selected based on times for the different age groups. This year Pacific Swimming is taking age groups 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18. This year's host is Swimming Canada and The Olympian Swim Club. This meet is held annually and this year is at the Kinsmen Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta Canada from 8/2-8/4.

And Jared VU is representing Pacific Swimming at this meet. Here he is being dropped off at SFO on his way to Canada to compete. Wish him well.
GO TEAM JARED!
