The Graduates | Morgan Hill 2014

Plunge boldly into the thick of life, and seize it where you will, it is always interesting. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Every year when someone moves on from Rossi Swim Team to pursue higher education or other interests, tradition calls they be thrown into the pool. But as time passed, they themselves voluntarily jump in rather than being thrown in =.)

A few college-bound high school graduates (Anand, Alison, Warren & Patrick) who made it to the Morgan Hill meet DID just that! I supposed it's more honorable to plunge in rather than be thrown in =.) All the same, CONGRATULATIONS to all graduates as you plunge into the thick of life where it is always interesting!
Thank you, Mr. Peter Tran, for capturing these images.
Reminder: if you use any image from this blog, please give proper photo credit to the photographer.

Autumn is the perfect time to take account of what we’ve done, what we didn’t do, and what we’d like to do next year. ~Unknown

End of Summer Swimming Invitational | Morgan Hill, CA • August 29-31, 2014

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. ~Jim Rohn

EAT, SLEEP, SWIM

For Rossi swim team, Labor Day weekend simply means that all swimmers are required to compete at the Morgan Hill meet. This significantly marks that summer is officially ending.  This is where you see all your summer's hard work put to the test.

If you live a #rossiswimmerslife, this may have been your routine:
- wake up to swim at 5am
- teach Learn-to-Swim program immediately after the rigorous morning routine
- go home to eat and maybe sleep, OR
- sacrifice your sleep to socialize (you figure you can sleep at the movies =.)
- get ready to get back to the pool at 3:30 till 6pm
- go home, eat, sleep
- REPEAT

If you're lucky, you get a break when you go on a family vacation =.)

I know this routine all too well because my daughter relentlessly went through this for years. Parents, as we all know, play a vital role in helping their children reach their goals. The rigor and discipline they/we learn from swimming applies to everything else in life.

Having said that, check out this EPIC photo montage by Mr. Peter Tran! Don't forget that if you use any of the photos taken by our lovely parents to please give proper photo credits and link them back here.

Here's to all our coaches, swimmer, officers and parents for another awesome season! Wishing everyone a great school year...especially to those who are entering their first year of college!

Awesome shots, once again, Peter! So blessed to have you take these moments to share with everyone.
If anyone else took photos and would like to share them, please send me a link of all your photos and we'll include them in here.

Happy September!
