We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face...we must do that which we think we cannot. ~Eleanor Roosevelt
Long course meets only mean SUMMER is just around the corner. Swimming long course seems daunting and intimidating. But to overcome it is exhilarating especially to those who swam it for the very first time, mostly the younger swimmers this past weekend. Kudos to everyone for doing well.
At the beginning of the meet, flags were waved to remember and pray for Boston and for this country for experiencing yet another tragedy at the Boston Marathon. Images of both heroism and monstrosity flashing through our screens on April 15th and and following days leave us disheartened and shocked. With all these recent events happening, our own busyness and numerous distractions, let's stop and take some extra time to hug our loved ones tightly and tell them "I love you,""I'm sorry," and "Thank you." Those simple words can amazingly bring comfort and healing.
Enjoy these photos I took that weekend. And if you took some, please don't hesitate to share.
Here's to a great week.
