Congratulations to Jared Vu for Achieving Such a Goal!

Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another. ~John Dewey

This All American time is what Jared has been striving for these last four years in high school. Swimmers can only receive it at an approved sanctioned/observed high school meet. In Jared's case, he did this during the All City Trials and Finals Championship. There is a required time for each stroke and they will take Top 100 swimmers in the nation in each stroke with required/consideration times. This is an important award since it is given in combination with a scholastic acheivement of 3.5 GPA or higher.

Here's an excerpt from Pacific Tigers Athletic Site:

Vu will be expected to make an immediate impact for the Tigers in his first season after swimming for Lincoln HS and the SFRP Rossi Swim Team in San Francisco, Calif. In the fly, Vu posted times of 49.8 and 1:53 while tallying a 1:54.9 in the IM.

“Jared would have been our second best 100 butterflier this year at MPSF’s and will look to make an immediate impact at the conference meet next year in both fly events,” said Richardson. “He will add immediate depth in an area we did not have much depth in.”

Read the whole article HERE. Way to go, Jared! Rossi Team is proud of your accomplishments! You are an inspiration to all of us, especially to our young swimmers.

From Jared (quoting Shannon Miller) to young swimmers aiming to do well:
"Have FUN, always SET goals but never set limits."

Now get back to swimming! Happy rest-of-the summer!
